Rainy Glen.

a waterfall of sound
crashes through my head
but still i breathe
the deepest breath i can
a symphony of voices
singing out in gentle rhymes
tells me that i won’t be back again

a door of vines
appears before my eyes
i step inside
and watch the world go by
a window of trees
is opened once again
i look through to see at last
the rainy glen

my world is changing
my cells are rearranging
my soul is yearning for the rain
the plants are growing
the river keeps flowing
my heart and mind are yearning for the rainy glen

Numbers of Power.

I’ve noticed that lots of important things are odd numbered. Just think of all of them….

– “There can be only one”
– Din, Nayru and Farore
– The Triforce
– Holy trinity
– 13 people in Jesus’ posse (12 disciples and himself)
– One “true” God
– I know 7 is an important number for God
– Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky
– Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone
– Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die
– One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
– Three panel comics
– Three-ring circus

I’m sure there are tons more I can’t think of at the moment. There are dozens of important meanings for every number, including the even ones, but it seems to me like odd-numbered things are somehow more profound. Since I used Lord of the Rings as an example, picture 4 elven rings, or 8 ringwraiths. Since odd numbered things can never be perfectly balanced, I think it brings more of a feeling of power.
